HEAT & PACK THERAPY
Asthma
Bath
A naturopathic sequence of warm arm and chest applications with steam inhalation, designed to ease chest tightness and breathing heaviness between episodes. Supportive care alongside medical treatment.
01WHAT IT IS
The asthma bath is a composite treatment rather than a single bath: warm arm baths to draw circulation from the chest, warm chest packs or compresses, and steam inhalation with herbs such as eucalyptus, given in sequence over about forty minutes. Together they relax the chest, loosen mucus and ease the sense of tightness that guests with breathing tendencies carry between episodes.
It is supportive care, given only when breathing is stable, and never replaces inhalers or prescribed medicines. It is often combined with pranayama training and Nasyam within a program.
