Herbal steam therapy with warm compress care

HEAT & PACK THERAPY

Ginger
Compress

Hot compresses soaked in fresh ginger decoction, or a pack of onion, ginger and garlic, applied to loosen deep stiffness, congestion and cold-type pain.

04 / AROGYA

01WHAT IT IS

Fresh ginger is grated into hot water to make a strong decoction; cloths wrung out in it are applied hot to a region and replaced as they cool. The warmth and the ginger together penetrate deeply, dissolving stiffness, stagnation and cold-type pain in muscles, joints and the abdomen.

The onion, ginger and garlic pack is a stronger variant: a warm poultice of the three applied over the chest for stubborn congestion or over a joint for deep ache, following the same principle.

02HOW IT IS DONE AT AROGYA

  1. 01

Fresh ginger decoction or the poultice is prepared warm.

  2. 02

Cloths are wrung out and applied hot; replaced every few minutes for the special ginger compress.

  3. 03

For the poultice pack, the wrapped mixture is applied and covered.

  4. 04

The region is wiped and kept warm afterwards.
