HYDROTHERAPY
Arm & Foot
Baths
Local baths for the arms or feet at warm, cool or alternating temperatures. Used for circulation, cold extremities, headache, fatigue and, in the detox foot bath, as a gentle cleansing ritual.
01WHAT IT IS
Local baths treat the whole body through the limbs. A warm foot bath draws blood downward, relieving congestion in the head and helping sleep and headache; a warm arm bath eases the chest and shoulders. Contrast baths alternate hot and cool water several times, a strong stimulus to circulation used for cold hands and feet, sluggish blood flow and recovery.
The detox foot bath adds herbs and salts to warm water for a soothing, cleansing ritual at the end of a therapy day.

- 02

06QUESTIONS
Common questions about Arm & Foot Baths.
Does a detox foot bath draw toxins out through the feet?
It relaxes, warms and softens the feet and calms the nervous system. We describe it as a cleansing ritual rather than a literal extraction of toxins.
